Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conducting Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2020 for recruitment to Junior Time Scale of the Indian Statistical Service. INDIAN STATISTICAL SERVICE EXAMINATION, 2020
No. of Vacancies: 47 Nos. (Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for PwBD)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master’s degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics from a recignized University or Institute.
Note: Candidate who will be appearing/ has appeared for the examination (of qualifying Educational Qualification) but has not been informed of the result, may apply for admission to the examination.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and should be below 30 years as on 01/08/2020.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

The candidates will be selected on the basis of the result of Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2020.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Viva voce. The Examination will be held on 16th October, 2020 at the following centres:- Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Delhi, Dispur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Shillong, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs. 200/-. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). See released advertisement for more details.
NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF FEMALE/ SC/ ST/ PWBD CANDIDATES.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) — https://www.upsconline.nic.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 10/06/2020 to 30/06/2020 upto 06:00 PM.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
