National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) invites online application for 16 posts of Junior Translation Officer. The candidates will be appointed through direct recruitment on Contract basis for Five (05) years (with possibility of regularization following due procedure to assess performance). JUNIOR TRANSLATION OFFICER

No. of Vacancies: 16 Nos. (UR-08, SC-02, ST-01, OBC-04, EWS-01. Out of the total posts, 02 posts are reserved for PWD) (01 post each in campuses located at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Raebareli, Shillong & Head Office)

Educational Qualification: i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level.

OR

Master’s Degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level.

OR

Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the Degree level.

OR

Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the Degree level.

OR

Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English , with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at Degree level.

ii) Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation form Hindi to English and vice versa or 02 (two) years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government office, including Government of India Undertaking.

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 10/08/2020.

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

The candidates will be appointed through direct recruitment on Contract basis for Five (05) years (with possibility of regularization following due procedure to assess performance).

Note:- The candidates who had applied for the post of Junior Hindi Translator (now re-designated as Junior Translation Officer) against earlier NIFT Advertisement No. 01/Junior Hindi Translator/Contract/2019 need not apply again.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY (NIFT) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
