Punjab Public Service Commission (Punjab PSC) invites online application for Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination- 2020. PUNJAB STATE CIVIL SERVICES COMBINED COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION

Name of the posts/ services and vacancies to be filled on the basis of the result of Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination- 2020:

i) Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch)- 20 posts

ii) Deputy Superintendent of Police- 26 posts

iii) Tehsildar- 05 posts

iv) Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Officer- 02 posts

v) Block Development & Panchayat Officer- 02 posts

vi) Assistant Registrar Co-Operative Societies- 04 posts

vii) Labour and Conciliation Officer- 01 post

viii) Employment Generation and Training Officer- 07 posts

ix) Deputy Superintendent Jails/ District Probation Officer (GradeII)- 10 posts

Educational Qualification: i) The candidate should possess a Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised University or Institution.

ii) Passed the Matriculation Examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and should not have attained the age of 37 years (Minimum 21 years and should not have attained the age of 28 years in the case of the post of Deputy Superintendent Police and Deputy Superintendent Jail/ District Probation Officer (Grade-II) in Punjab Prisons State Service) as on 01/01/2020.

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ BC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

The selected candidates will be on probation for a period of 03 years.

Reserved category candidates of state other than Punjab will be treated as General category candidates.

Physical Standards (For Deputy Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Jails (Grade-II)/ District Probation Officer (Jails) only):

(i) Male Candidates: Height — 5 feet 7 inches; Chest (unexpanded) — 33 inches; Chest (expanded) — 34.5 inches

(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 5 feet 3 inches

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Preliminary Competitive Examination, Main Competitive Examination (Written and Viva voce/ Interview) and Physical Test wherever applicable. The Preliminary Combined Examination- 2020 is tentatively scheduled in September, 2020.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.3000/- (Rs.1125/- for SC/ ST of all States and BC of Punjab, Rs.500/- for Ex-Servicemen of Punjab and Rs.1750/- for Physically Handicapped of Punjab). Fee can be paid through Bank only by means of Fee Payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Punjab Public Service Commission (Punjab PSC). Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence.
