Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online application for National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2020 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy for the 146th Course, and for the 108th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd July, 2021. Approximately 413 vacancies will be filled on the basis of the results of National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2020 out of which 370 Posts are for National Defence Academy and 43 Posts are for Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme). NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY AND NAVAL ACADEMY EXAMINATION (II), 2020

No. of Vacancies: 413 Nos.

i) National Defence Academy: 370 posts (208 posts for Army, 42 posts for Navy and 120 posts for Air Force (including 28 for ground Duties))

ii) Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 43 posts

Educational Qualification:

i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:- 12th Class pass (10+2) or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:- 12th Class pass (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Note:- Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Age Limit: Born not earlier than 02/01/2002 and not later than 01/01/2005.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conducting National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2020 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy for the 146th Course, and for the 108th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd July, 2021.

Note: Only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible to apply.

Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit and should meet the prescribed physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2020 as laid by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and SSB ITest/ nterview (Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test). The examination will be conducted on 06th September, 2020 at various Centres across India. For more details please see the officially released advertisement.

Note:- The National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2020, which was scheduled to be held on 19/04/2020, was deferred against the backdrop of COVID-19 outbreak. Now, a common examination will be held for both NDA & NA Examination (I) and NDA & NA Examination (II) 2020 on September 06, 2020.

Candidates of NDA & NA Examination (I) 2020 who are eligible and intend to apply for NDA & NA Examination (II) 2020 may apply.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs. 100/-. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ ST CANDIDATES/ SONS OF SERVING/ EX-JUNIOR COMMISSIONED OFFICERS/ NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS/ OTHER RANKS OF ARMY AND EQUIVALENT RANKS IN THE INDIAN NAVY/ INDIAN AIR FORCE ARE ALSO NOT REQUIRED TO PAY THE PRESCRIBED FEE IF THEY ARE STUDYING IN MILITARY SCHOOL (FORMERLY KNOWN AS KING GEORGE’S SCHOOL)/ SAINIK SCHOOL RUN BY SAINIK SCHOOLS SOCIETY.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) — http://upsc.gov.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 16/06/2020 to 06/07/2020.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
