STATE SELECTION BOARD, DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION, ODISHA INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 136 JUNIOR ASSISTANT AND JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER. LAST DATE — 30/06/2020

1. JUNIOR ASSISTANT

No. of Vacancies: 125 Nos. (UR-63, ST-30, SC-20, OBC/ SEBC-12)

University wise vacancies:

i) Shree Jagannath Sanskrit Viswavidyalaya, Puri- 15 posts

ii) Utkal University, Bhubaneswar- 46 posts

iii) Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhubaneswar- 20 posts

iv) Ravenshaw University, Cuttack- 19 posts

v) Khallikote University, Berhampur- 08 posts

vi) Berhampur University- 17 posts

Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a Diploma in Computer Application from any recognized Institution.

ii) The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia fluently and must have passed at least an examination in Odia language equivalent to M.E School standard conducted by the B.S.E., Odisha.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/03/2020.

Remuneration: Rs.8880 per month initially in the 1st year.

2. JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER

No. of Vacancies: 11 Nos. (UR-08, ST-02, SC-01)

University wise vacancies:

i) Shree Jagannath Sanskrit Viswavidyalaya- 01 post

ii) Utkal University- 05 posts

iii) Berhampur University- 03 posts

iv) Ravenshaw University- 02 posts

Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a Diploma in Computer Application from any recognized Institution.

ii) Additional qualification of Stenography with speed of 80 words is essential.

iii) The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia fluently and must have passed at least an examination in Odia language equivalent to M.E School standard conducted by the B.S.E., Odisha.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/03/2020.

Remuneration: Rs.8880 per month initially in the 1st year.

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ ST/ SEBC/ Women candidates and 10 years for PWD/ Ex-Serviceman candidates. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

Note:- Candidates who are native of Odisha are only eligible to apply for the above posts.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Skill Test (Computer Skill Test for Junior Assistant/ Stenography cum Computer Test of Junior Stenographer). The Written Examination will be held at Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur depending upon the number of candidates.
