Assam Police – State Level Police Recruitment Board invites online application for 451 posts of Constable/ Guardsman (Grade-III). The vacancies are under Directorate of Civil Defence and Home Guards, Assam. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply. ASSAM POLICE – STATE LEVEL POLICE RECRUITMENT BOARD INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 451 CONSTABLE/ GUARDSMAN (GRADE-III). LAST DATE — 30/06/2020

CONSTABLE/ GUARDSMAN (GRADE-III)

No. of Vacancies: 451 Nos. (Male- 316 posts, Female- 135 posts)

Educational Qualification: i) H.S.L.C or Class X passed from a recognized Board or Council.

ii) Home Guards Training Certificate or NCC ‘A’ Certificate.

iii) The candidate should ordinarily be a resident of Assam.

Note:- The persons having H.S.L.C. passed certificate but not possessing Home Guards Training Certificate or NCC ‘A’ Certificate are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01/01/2020.

Pay Scale: Rs.14000 — Rs.60500

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.

The vacancies are under Directorate of Civil Defence and Home Guards, Assam. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply.

The selected candidates will undergo basic training. They will be on probation for a period of 02 (two) years which can be extended.

Note:- The advertisement issued by the DGCD & CGHG vide No. CG 52/2013/134 dated: 02-07-2015 for filling up 299 posts of Constable in ASRF Battalions is cancelled. However, those candidates who applied in response to the advertisement dated 02-07-2015 and were eligible as per the said advertisement but now have crossed the upper age limit may also apply.

Physical Standards:

(i) Male Candidates: Height — 162.56 cm (160.02 cm for ST (H)/ ST (P) candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 80 cm (78 cm for ST (H)); Chest (expanded) — 85 cm (83 cm for ST (H)); Weight — Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.

(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 154.94 cm (152.40 cm for ST (H)/ ST (P) candidates); Weight — Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Standards Tests (PST), Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), Written Test and Extra-Curricular Activities and Special Skills.
